About Ember & Oak
Where passion meets plate — the story of a restaurant built on love for exceptional food and genuine hospitality.
The Vision
Ember & Oak was born from a simple belief: that the best meals are shared. Chef Marcus Chen founded the restaurant in 2017 with a vision to create a space where modern American cuisine meets the warmth of genuine hospitality.
Named after the two elements that define our kitchen — the glowing ember of the hearth and the sturdy oak of our handcrafted tables — the restaurant reflects a philosophy rooted in balance: bold yet refined, innovative yet timeless.
Every detail, from the locally-sourced ingredients to the carefully curated wine list, is a reflection of our commitment to exceptional dining.
Marcus Chen
Chef Marcus Chen brings over two decades of culinary mastery to Ember & Oak. After training at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and honing his craft at Michelin-starred restaurants across Europe, Marcus returned to his roots to create something uniquely American.
His cooking style is defined by a deep respect for ingredients — letting the quality of each component speak for itself while adding subtle, refined touches that elevate the familiar into the extraordinary.
“Cooking is about connection,” Marcus says. “To the land, the seasons, the people at your table. At Ember & Oak, we don't just serve food — we create moments.”
